FAQ
Is the licence genuine and lifetime?
Yes. You receive a genuine Microsoft product key for Windows 10 Home N, purchased from authorised software distributors. The licence is perpetual: no subscription, no expiry date, no recurring costs.
Can I transfer the licence to a new PC?
Yes. This is a Retail licence: after uninstalling or formatting your old computer, you can activate Windows 10 Home N on the new one. The licence can only be active on one PC at a time.
Windows is already installed: do I need to reinstall it?
No. If Windows 10 is already installed on your PC, just enter the product key under Settings → Update & Security → Activation. If you’re starting from a new PC or want a clean install, you’ll find the official download link in the email.
What’s the difference between Windows 10 Home and Home N?
There’s none in terms of core features: the N edition doesn’t include Windows Media Player, Movies & TV, Voice Recorder and some media apps, which you can add for free with the Media Feature Pack.
Does Windows 10 still receive updates?
Windows 10 reached end of support on 14 October 2025: the system still installs, activates and works normally, but Microsoft no longer releases free security updates (the paid ESU programme is available). It’s the right choice for PCs that aren’t compatible with Windows 11, or when you need maximum compatibility with existing software and peripherals.
What language does it install in?
The licence is multilingual: you can install Windows in English or any other language and change it later in the settings.
