Error 0xC004C008: what does it mean and what should I do?
Error 0xC004C008 means that the maximum number of online activations allowed for that Product Key has been reached. In this case, online activation is no longer available and you need the Microsoft phone activation method.
To simplify the process, use our Get CID tool (also explained in the video tutorial on this page).
"Maximum number of activations reached" message: what does it mean?
If you see a message such as:
"We can't activate this installation because the maximum number of activations allowed for this Product Key has already been reached…"
it means Microsoft requires verification via phone activation.
In this case, proceed with Get CID to obtain the confirmation code (CID) and complete activation.
